pg 314 out of 1024 ... fiddle-dee-dee

I have Goodreads updates on my blog sidebar of books I've read lately. It's been stagnant for some time. Not because I haven't been reading, but because I've been reading Gone With the Wind. I reserved it at the library, not realizing it is 3 inches thick.

And today I realized I could catch the whole thing in 3.06 minutes, thanks to YouTube videos set to sappy romance songs.

I may never live to finish it, but I do recommend the book. The film version is also one of the best book-to-movie conversions I've seen. (238 minutes long.)

I LOVE Gone with the Wind in both the book and movie version. I made Bart watch it with me the first year we were married and he kept turning to me and saying "HOW COULD THINGS GET WORSE?!" And then they do, of course.

P.S. I like the new picture!

FYI...
I changed my blog address to:

Why? Long story...don't ask. :)

I also love Gone with the Wind. I started the book last year and then I saw that Mimi had the DVD, so I borrowed it. I had only ever seen some of the movie before, and I could never understand what everyone was saying, so I was eager to borrow the DVD and watch with subtitles. And watch I did. Without Eric. And it made me even more excited to read the book. I loved it.

My copy is only 733 pages long. Do you want to borrow it?

Hurray for Gone with the Wind... I cried like a baby at the end. One of my favorites for sure...
